How to Make a PMS Relief Drink Infused with Natural Fruitful Remedies.

Self-care refers to people’s intentional activities to care for their physical, mental, and emotional health. It involves focusing on oneself and engaging in activities that promote well-being and reduce stress. Self-care can come in many forms, including getting enough sleep, eating a healthy diet, exercising regularly, practicing mindfulness or meditation, spending time with loved ones, pursuing hobbies or interests, and seeking professional help.

By prioritizing self-care, individuals can improve their overall quality of life, boost their mood, and reduce the risk of burnout or mental health issues. It is important to remember that self-care is not selfish but rather a necessary practice for maintaining a healthy and fulfilling life.

Since I have always struggled with tummy aches and feeling queasy after drinking certain drinks, I have swapped to drinking healthier. Herbal drinks, to be exact. Boy! Do I feel better! Herbal drinks have been used for centuries as a natural remedy for various ailments. These drinks are made from multiple plants and herbs and can provide numerous health benefits. One of the main benefits of herbal drinks is that they can help boost the immune system.

Many herbs contain antioxidants and other compounds that can help fight off disease and illness. Additionally, herbal drinks can help improve digestion, reduce inflammation, and promote relaxation and stress relief. Some popular herbal drinks include ginger, chamomile, and peppermint tea.

Chaste berry and black cohosh are two herbal supplements traditionally used for women’s health. Chaste berry, also known as Vitex agnus-castus, is derived from the dried fruit of the chaste tree and is commonly used to help regulate menstrual cycles, reduce premenstrual symptoms, and relieve symptoms of menopause.

On the other hand, black cohosh is derived from the root of the black cohosh plant. It also alleviates menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, night sweats, and mood swings. While both supplements have been widely used and studied for their benefits, it is essential to consult with a healthcare professional before taking them, especially if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, or have a history of liver disease.

Incorporating herbal drinks into your daily routine can be a great way to support your overall health and wellness. Here is a yummy drink recipe to support you during those unpleasant days. I have one monthly. Absolutely beneficial. Also, don’t be afraid to add some lemon or honey. I add about a spoonful of organic honey. Enjoy!

PMS Decoction for Hormonal Balance

What’s a decoction? A decoction is the process of boiling a plant in hot water. Decoctions are made using the tougher parts of plants, like roots and barks. For a PDF version of the recipe, click here.

Ingredients:

  • 1 tsp Chaste Berry
  • 1 tsp Black Cohosh

Materials Needed:

  • Water
  • Saucepan
  • Mortar and Pestle
  • Large Mason Jar
  • Stainless Steel Strainer

Process:

  1. Grind your herbs in a mortar and pestle. This helps break the plant’s cell wall and allows water to penetrate deeper into the herbs.
  2. Add 2 cups of water to a saucepan and bring to a boil.
  3. Add all your ground herbs to the boiling water and stir well.
  4. Reduce the heat to a light simmer and allow your herbs to simmer for around 10 – 15 minutes.
  5. Strain using a stainless-steel strainer and enjoy.

For optimal PMS relief, drink infusion in intervals throughout the day, at the onset of PMS symptoms, or one week before your cycle.
